TERMITE CONTROL TREATMENTS AND SYSTEMS
Your biggest investment may be at risk!
Termites will eat any kind of wood material, from floors to furniture to pictures on the wall. Every year, they attack about 4 million homes in the United States, and cost over $5 billion in property damage. Termite damage is more common than damage caused by storms, fires, or earthquakes, yet it is rarely covered by homeowner’s insurance. Amco Ranger has more than 40 years of experience protecting structures from termites and the devastation that they cause. We are experts at identifying problems and quickly delivering affordable and effective solutions.

SOME IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT TERMITES INCLUDE:
- Termites feed 24 hours a day
- Workers forage continuously for food
- Reproductive termites swarm from an existing colony in spring or fall to start new colonies
- The termites on Earth outweigh the humans on Earth
- Thousands – sometimes millions – of termites live in each soil-based colony
- Termites are often not discovered until after they have significantly damaged a structure
- Workers share food and lead others to it via scent trails
TREATMENTS
THE SENTRICON® TERMINTE COLONY ELIMINATION SYSTEM — AS LOW AS $35 PER MONTH
To protect homes from termites, more people prefer the Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System than any other brand. In fact, it has protected nearly 2 million structures, including the Statue of Liberty, the White House, the Alamo and other national treasures.
If termites are present on your property, Amco Ranger’s trained professionals can use the Sentricon® System to eliminate the colony. If a new colony invades, it also is eliminated with the Sentricon® System. This is accomplished with stations in the soil around the home, which are less disruptive and more effective than traditional methods.
The Sentricon® System was developed with respect for the environment. In contrast to traditional liquid treatments, which use hundreds of gallons of chemical solution, the Sentricon® System uses only a few grams of active ingredient when and where needed.
The Sentricon® System was the first product registered by the EPA under the Reduced Risk Pesticide Initiative. Also, it’s the only termite control product ever to receive the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award.
Homeowners can forget about termites when they have Amco Ranger install and service the Sentricon® System. Its ongoing monitoring feature means that Amco Ranger regularly checks stations for termite activity. In fact, activity in stations is often seen long after the initial colony has been eliminated. The Sentricon® System can then be used to eliminate the new colony before termites reach the home.
Amco Ranger is proud to be one of an elite group of companies that are qualified to sell and service the Sentricon® System. Our service professionals have extensive training and state-of-the-art data management tools. We are committed to protecting homes and businesses, as well as your peace of mind.
LIQUID BARRIER TERMINTE PROTECTION PROGRAM — AS LOW AS $799
Another method of controlling subterranean termites is to apply a liquid pesticide, known as a termiticide, to the soil. It includes applying a chemical barrier around and beneath the structure in order to block possible routes of termite entry. Any termites attempting to penetrate through the treated soil are exposed to the chemical and killed. While there are several termiticides to choose from for this type of treatment, Amco Ranger prefers DuPont™ Altriset™. DuPont™ Altriset™ the first soil-applied liquid termiticide launched in almost a decade, is in a class of chemistry with a mode of action like no other termite control product. Laboratory and field study results prove Altriset™ halts termite feeding within hours while providing termite elimination for critical long-term structural protection. Plus, Altriset™ offers an excellent toxicological and environmental profile. In addition to requiring no signal word on the label, DuPont™ Altriset™ is the first and only liquid termiticide to be classified as reduced-risk under the U.S. EPA reduced-risk program. After the termite barrier is applied, Amco Ranger then installs termite monitoring stations on your property to continually monitor for the presence of termites. By monitoring termite activity through these stations we can detect termites outside of the home before they reach the structure and begin to cause damage. This type of monitoring also reduces scheduling hassles and the need for you to be home during service. If termites are found in these stations or in the home, Amco Ranger will provide professional termite treatment at no additional charge until they are gone.
PRE-CONSTRUCTION TERMITE TREATMENT — AS LOW AS $349
Amco Ranger can help you make the most of your investment in a new home by using the most advanced techniques and materials available to give you unparalleled protection. Most homeowners know that prevention is the key to saving costly repairs and headaches. As you are building your home, you now have the opportunity to protect your home from nearly everything that can damage the wood, and prevent the establishment of dry-rot, insect infestation, mold, and many other problems. Amco Ranger's preventative treatments are incredibly affordable as well, due to the exposure of critical areas of a home during construction.
Conventional soil pre-treatment - This treatment includes applying a liquid termiticide to the soil around and beneath the structure in order to block all possible routes of termite entry. Notification must be given prior to the pouring of flatwork (basement, garage, porches and patios).
|
Borate wood pre-treatment - This treatment includes application of a specially formulated borate to wood in areas critical for termite entry. Areas include sub-floor (two feet out from the perimeter), band-board perimeter (two feet up on wall studs), sill plate perimeter, floor joists (two feet from perimeter) and exterior sheeting (two feet up from perimeter). Treated areas will be protected against termites, carpenter ants, wood boring beetles, and fungi. Notification must be given as soon as the home is under roof, before plumbing and electrical work is done.
|
|
Borate wood pre-treatment with mold control - In addition to the standard wood treatment for termite prevention, this treatment will include moldicide, termiticide, insecticide, and fungicide treatment of rooms (including the underside of the floor) and other areas of the home that are prone to moisture problems including laundry rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms to kill and prevent mold growth. Also, an area of approximately 2 feet will be treated around all doors, windows, and any areas where plumbing or ductwork penetrates wood materials.
